Description: Orma-D is an essential element and plays vital roles in the body. It helps body’s framework stronger by building bones. Vitamin-D3 is needed for Calcium to be absorbed from the gut and deficiency can lead to low Calcium levels and subsequent weakening of bones.
Indication: Orma-D tablet is prescribed for the treatment of osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets and parathyroid disease. Calcium supplements are often used to ensure adequate dietary intake in condition such as pregnancy, nursing, kidney disease and pancreatitis during therapy with anti-seizure medications.
Precautions: Patients with mild to moderate renal failure or mild hypercalciuria should be supervised carefully. In patients with a history of renal stones urinary calcium excretion should be measured to exclude hypercalciuria.
Dosage: Adults and Children above 12 years of age. 2 tablets per day. Preferably one tablet each morning and one at evening.
Side Effects: The use of Calcium supplements has rarely given rise to mild gastro intestinal disturbances, such as constipation, flatulence, nausea, gastric pain, diarrhoea. Following administration vitamin D3 supplements occasional skin rash has been reported. Hypercalciuria and in rare cases hypocalcaemia have been seen with long-term treatment at high dosages.
Storage: Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool & dry place. Protect from light.
